Product Engineering at JLR is centred on innovation and creativity. From advanced driver assistance systems to developing the future of electric propulsion, the opportunities to create exceptional experiences for the future of motoring are wide-ranging. You’ll work alongside industry experts to drive product strategy, manage programs, analyse performance, and lead transformation initiatives. Exceptional careers that bring world‑renowned vehicles to life start here.

Join JLR’s Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) team, as a Senior Systems Integration Engineer.

You will play a part in the future of modern luxury mobility. We’re looking for a talented Senior Systems Integration Engineer with a passion for diagnostics and a deep understanding of ADAS technologies. This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the cutting edge of automotive innovation, helping to define, design, and integrate the systems that make driving safer and smarter.

You’ll be part of a collaborative and forward‑thinking engineering team, working across sensor integration, domain controller diagnostics, and system‑level fault analysis. From model‑based systems engineering to test case development and protocol debugging, your expertise will help deliver robust, reliable ADAS solutions that meet both customer expectations and regulatory standards.

If you thrive in a technically challenging environment, enjoy solving complex problems, and want to contribute to the next generation of driver assistance systems, we would like to hear from you!

WHAT TO EXPECT

In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering high‑quality outcomes and supporting the wider team through a range of responsibilities, including –

  • Champion innovation by exploring emerging technologies and applying systems engineering principles to shape the next generation of diagnostics systems for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)
  • Your work will directly contribute to the evolution of intelligent, safety‑focused vehicle technologies
  • Lead the development and integration of executable system models that clearly describe and visualise complex system behaviour. These models will help ensure we deliver the premium, intuitive experience our customers expect from JLR
  • Validate system performance and behaviour through rigorous testing and analysis, ensuring our diagnostics systems meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and safety
  • Embrace continuous improvement, actively seeking opportunities to refine your designs and processes. Your ability to adapt and evolve will directly enhance the customer experience and support the delivery of world‑class products
  • Think beyond the obvious by identifying less visible or emerging issues, and working collaboratively with cross‑functional teams to develop creative, effective solutions that drive progress
  • Contribute to the growing knowledge base of ADAS systems at JLR, supporting standardisation, best practice sharing, and the professional development of both yourself and your colleagues
WHAT YOU’LL NEED

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring a solid background, relevant certifications, and the following key skills –

  • Strategic thinker with enthusiasm for team development and guidance, alongside relevant experience in diagnostics, degradation, and health management for Assisted and Automated Driving systems
  • Skilled in issue triage, debugging, vehicle testing, and integration, with a team‑oriented mindset that considers the wider organisational needs
  • Experienced in Model‑Based Systems Engineering, ideally using Simulink and Stateflow, and capable of authoring and reviewing requirements using structured formats such as EARS
  • Proficient in change and configuration management, with a strong foundation in Systems Engineering principles and practices
  • Familiar with Driver Assistance technologies including computer vision, image processing, machine learning, path planning, sensor fusion, vehicle dynamics, and control
  • Knowledgeable in key standards and protocols such as ISO 14229 (Unified Diagnostics Services), ISO 26262 (Functional Safety), Safety of the Intended Function, ISO 21434 (Cyber Security), and automotive networking protocols like CAN, FlexRay, SOME/IP, and DoIP
  • Experience with simulation tools (CarSim, Unreal, CarMaker, DriveSim), data analysis using Python or MATLAB, and an understanding of Six Sigma methodologies
BENEFITS

This role is rewarding in more ways than one. On top of our core offering, you’ll do extraordinary work with amazing people. In addition, you can expect a wide range of benefits:
