Job summary

Fortress Recruit Ltd is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer - Projects (elec-bias) for a leading defence engineering organisation in Poole. You will lead delivery of complex engineering projects for defence and maritime applications, coordinating cross-disciplinary teams and ensuring on-schedule outcomes.

The role requires a degree in electrical/electronic/systems engineering, full lifecycle experience, and eligibility for ITAR/SC clearance.

Qualifications

A degree in Electrical, Electronic or Systems Engineering.
Understanding of multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Full systems lifecycle experience.
Experience coordinating engineering activities and priorities.
Strong communication and technical documentation skills.
Experience in defence, aerospace or regulated environments.
Eligibility for ITAR and SC clearance (5 years UK residency).

Responsibilities

Coordinate projects from requirements to design, verification and manufacture.
Coordinate resources across mechanical, electrical, electronics, systems and software.
Provide technical input across electrical and electronic systems.
Manage project requirements, risks, priorities and milestones.
Coordinate design reviews and ensure compliance with customer requirements and standards.
Maintain technical documentation and liaise with customers and stakeholders.
