Job summary

Morson Edge is hiring a Senior Systems Engineer for maritime defence based in Greenford, London. This permanent role follows a hybrid pattern: 3 days onsite and 2 days from home. You will own engineering work packages and contribute to advanced maritime defence systems.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in Systems Engineering, knowledge of the full lifecycle, and experience with requirements management, design, and V&V. DOORS/MBSE/SysML experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of the full systems engineering lifecycle.
• Experience with requirements management, systems design and V&V.
• Defence, maritime, naval or other complex engineering experience preferred.
• Experience with DOORS, MBSE or SysML would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage systems requirements, design and development.
• Oversee systems integration, verification and validation (V&V).
• Provide technical leadership across engineering projects.
• Support design reviews and customer engagement.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Are you an experienced Systems Engineer looking for your next challenge within the Defence sector?

I'm currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity to join a leading organisation within Maritime Defence, working on cutting-edge technology and complex engineering programmes supporting critical UK defence operations.

The Role

You'll be involved in the full systems engineering lifecycle, taking technical ownership of engineering work packages and contributing to the development of advanced maritime defence systems.

Key responsibilities include:

• Systems requirements, design and development
• Systems integration, verification and validation (V&V)
• Technical leadership across engineering projects
• Supporting design reviews and customer engagement
• Mentoring junior engineers and working with multidisciplinary teams

What We're Looking For
