Relx Plc is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer II in London to design, operate, and improve cloud-based enterprise environments. You will drive automation, support change management, and ensure reliability and security across AWS-based infrastructure.

The role emphasizes collaboration with development and support teams, incident resolution, and scale-out of systems. Strong scripting and IaC experience are essential for delivering robust, automated solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, networking, IAM, EKS)
• Solid knowledge of Linux/UNIX systems
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Scripting and automation (Bash, Python)
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Knowledge of system monitoring and performance tuning tools
• Experience with incident, problem, and change management processes
• Security best practices (IAM, patching, vulnerability management)

About the role:

This role is responsible for the design, operation, and continuous improvement of cloud-based enterprise system environments. The Senior Systems Engineer contributes to project planning, ensures system reliability, security, and performance, and independently drives the resolution of complex system issues. This role also supports change management processes and promotes automation and operational efficiency in a DevOps-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and resolve complex system and performance issues in cloud environments

Requirements:
