Overview

Ready to work on cutting-edge radar and navigation technology? This is a great opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer to join a highly respected UK engineering team delivering advanced sensing solutions. Based in Enfield, this role covers the full Systems Engineering lifecycle from early concept work through to delivery and acceptance. You will work across multidisciplinary teams, support a range of radar-based products, and take part in occasional travel to customer or test sites. This is a hands-on, customer-facing position where clear communication and strong technical insight are essential.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to system design, integration and test.
• Support product development from concept through to in-service support.
• Produce accurate technical documentation, proposals and reports.
• Collaborate with software, mechanical and electrical engineering teams.
• Mentor junior colleagues and support multiple projects.
• Assist with verification, validation and external test activities.

Experience Required

• Essential
• Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or a related field.
• Experience in systems design, integration and test.
• Good understanding of product lifecycles.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• UK driving licence and eligibility for UK Security Clearance.
• Desirable
• Knowledge of radar or radio systems.
• Experience with communication protocols such as RS485, RS232 or TCP IP.
• Familiarity with test equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters and spectrum analysers.
• Understanding of defence standards, EMC or ESD environments.
• Experience leading small engineering packages.
• Membership of a professional engineering institution.
