Job summary

Assystem is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to work on defence-focused packages within a highly regulated environment. The role covers mechanical, electrical and process systems in Nuclear, Aerospace, Defence sectors.

The Defence & Decommissioning Strategic Business Unit is expanding, offering challenging projects and a pathway to senior engineering responsibilities. The role involves requirements specification, interface management, system architecture, and modelling, with DOORS and Capella

Qualifications

Job Description

Are you a Senior Systems Engineer with experience working with mechanical, electrical, and process systems in a highly regulated industry (Nuclear, Aerospace, Defence, etc.)? Assystem’s Defence & Decommissioning Strategic Business Unit is expanding and we are looking for skilled Systems Engineers for our Defence packages of work.

Your missions:

• Requirement specification production / management
• Interface Management
• System Architecture definition
• System Functional and Interface modelling
• Operating requirements management database software (DOORS preferential)
• Operating Model Based Systems engineering Software (Capella preferential)

Qualifications

• Experience in complex regulated industry essential (i.e. Nuclear, Aerospace, etc.)
• Experience in Nuclear industry desirable.
• Foundation background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is acceptable.
• Degree in engineering or STEM subject is mandatory or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience.
• Systems thinking and systems engineering processes is mandatory.
• Systems engineering training/qualifications desirable.
• Willing to accept a candidate with SE experience and a desire to move into this field if they can demonstrate competence.
• Experience operating Rationale DOORS software as a practitioner is desirable.
• Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering is desirable.
• Awareness of relevant BS or INCOSE standards desirable
