Job summary

KVector Ltd. is developing advanced beam-steering antenna technology for future communications and radar systems. You will own the system architecture, unifying antenna, RF, mechanical, hardware and software into a coherent product, collaborating directly with the CTO and CEO.

It’s hands-on from day one. You’ll shape architectures across SATCOM, radar, and secure comms, translating market needs into clear specs and managing requirements and interfaces from prototype to production.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years in systems engineering on multidisciplinary hardware products.
• Track record of taking complex hardware from concept through integration and verification.
• Experience in SATCOM, radar, RF systems, aerospace/defence electronics, phased arrays, or comms infra.
• Confidence owning requirements and interfaces.
• Sound judgement balancing time and budget trade-offs.
• Engineering/physics degree (MEng a plus).
• Enjoy building when not everything is defined yet.

What you'll do

We've got advanced beam-steering prototypes working across X to Ka band. Now we need someone to turn them into products people can actually deploy. You'll own the system architecture and pull antenna, RF, mechanical, hardware and software together into one coherent product, working directly with our CTO and CEO. It's hands-on from day one.

• Shape system architectures for beam-steered products across satcom, radar and secure communications
• Turn customer and market needs into clear specs and subsystem requirements
• Run the trade-offs: performance, SWaP, cost, manufacturability and reliability
• Own the interfaces between RF, antenna, mechanical, hardware and software
• Lead integration and define how we verify, validate and qualify, from prototype through to production
• Help build our systems engineering approach from scratch: requirements, configuration control, and just enough process for a team that moves fast
• Get in front of customers and partners for demos, trials and technical conversations

What you'll bring

• Around 7-10 years in systems engineering on multidisciplinary hardware products
• A track record of taking complex hardware from concept through integration and verification
• Experience in one or more of: SATCOM, radar, RF systems integration, aerospace or defence electronics, phased arrays, or communications infrastructure
• Confidence owning requirements and interfaces
• Sound judgement when making trade-offs against time and budget
• A degree in engineering, physics or a related discipline (MEng is a plus)
• You enjoy building things when not everything is defined yet

Bonus points if...

• You've worked with MBSE, SysML or similar modelling approaches
• You've worked on phased-array or beam-steering antenna systems
• You've delivered low-SWaP portable systems
  
• You know your way around Jira and Confluence
• You've contributed to product definition or technology roadmaps
• You've worked in a start-up or fast-paced product team
• You've managed suppliers or subcontractors
