Job summary

Referment is partnering with a global investment and technology organisation to hire a Systems Developer for a team responsible for high‑performance research and trading infrastructure. This is a hands‑on engineering role spanning large‑scale compute, operating systems, development tooling, networking and storage, with responsibilities across both software and systems boundaries.

You’ll work in a distributed computing environment where software engineering meets systems performance.

Qualifications

Experience in infrastructure orchestration and fleet management.
Advanced Python for systems engineering with high-concurrency frameworks.
Degree in Physics, Mathematics, CS, or related field or up to five years of practical experience.
Curiosity about how complex technology works and problem solving.
Clear written and verbal communication, organizing and time management.

Responsibilities

Design workload scheduling and fleet-management for large compute environments.
Contribute to clustered file-system design, tooling and platform reliability.
Tune kernel and network performance for latency-sensitive, high-throughput apps.
Build metrics collection and analysis tools for infra insights.
Collaborate with global engineering teams supporting research and trading workloads.
