Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Systems Architect for a high-tech defence programme based around Electronic Warfare in the Bristol area. The role provides technical direction and system ownership across a specialist EW programme, working with an international engineering team to adapt technology for UK defence systems.

You will act as the UK technical authority on hardware and system integration, leading EW/RESM system approaches and ensuring robust integration across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Strong background in Systems Engineering / Systems Architecture in high-assurance environments.
• Experience with Electronic Warfare, RESM, RF systems or related technologies.
• Understanding of RF signal conditioning and hardware/firmware interfaces.
• Ability to take technical ownership and act as a senior technical authority.

Responsibilities

• Act as UK technical authority for hardware and system integration.
• Lead the technical approach for EW/RESM systems, including RF conditioning and firmware interfaces.
• Collaborate with international teams to transfer and adapt technology into UK solutions.
• Provide technical oversight across architecture, development, integration and verification.
• Coordinate with systems, RF, hardware and firmware teams to ensure integration.
• Operate as a senior individual contributor with no direct reports.
