Job summary

A leading professional services firm in the UK is looking for a Systems Analyst with at least 7 years of experience in Data Analytics, Data Warehousing, and SQL. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing Power BI dashboards and working on complex data engineering projects. Excellent communication skills and independence in work are required. This position offers a hybrid work schedule in Richmond, England.

Proven Experience

• Experience: Minimum of 7 years as systems analyst in Data Analytics, Data Warehousing, and Data Science projects.
• SQL Expertise: A minimum of 7 years of work experience in SQL, with expertise in crafting complex SQL queries.
• Datamart Design: A minimum of 5 years of experience designing DataMart’s, with a focus on Dimensional Modeling.
• Power BI: At least 3 years of experience in the design and development of Power BI dashboards.

Location: Candidate Must be Local and able to drive in.

Schedule: 5 8’s, hybrid schedule.

High Level Project Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning, design, development of new data engineering, analytical and data science applications, as well as enhancements to existing applications.
• Meet with decision-makers, systems owners, and end users to define business requirements and systems goals, and to identify and resolve business systems issues.
• Operate independently on the most complex projects at the highest technical level of all phases of application systems analysis activities.
• Formulate or define system scope and objectives based on user needs.
• Develop or refine procedures to address complex challenges, taking into account the limitations and capabilities of IT systems, operational timeframes, and the desired outcomes.
• Work with multiple business units, in multi-platform environments, on multi-project assignments.
• Guide and advise less experienced Systems Analysts.
• Design and Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI

Job Duties

• Create systems models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to system programmers.
• Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems.
• Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems.
• Create and deliver effective presentations to all levels of colleagues and peer groups.
• Document standards and procedures for various analytic platforms.
• Develop test cases and validate test results.
• Coaches and transfers knowledge to less experienced team members.
• Proficiently performs assignments having the knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience needed to carry out all aspects of the job.
• Exercises independent judgment and decision-making in planning, organizing and conducting work assignments.

Education

• Minimum of High school Diploma or Equivalency.

Industry Experience

• Prior experience in a regulated industry.
