Job summary

North London NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Band 8a Specialist Family & Systemic Psychotherapist to support Barnet CAMHS, based at Edgware Community Hospital. The role involves leading family therapy clinics and supervising junior staff within a diverse, multi-disciplinary setting.

The post requires AFSP training with UKCP registration and extensive post-qualification experience in systemic psychotherapy with children and families.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification in a mental health or social welfare discipline or agreed AFSP equivalent.
• AFSP recognised four year training leading to a qualification in Systemic Psychotherapy/Family Therapy.
• UKCP Registration (Systemic).
• Minimum four years practice in relevant first profession with post-qualification experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead family therapy clinics.
• Provide clinical supervision to junior family therapists, systemic practitioners and / or psychological therapists.
• Provide systemic family therapy treatments as part of regular clinics and as a sole systemic family therapist.
• Provide generic CAMHS assessments.
• Participate in THRIVE informed pathways and multidisciplinary teams.
• Contribute to governance, service development and quality improvement.
