Role Overview

The Senior Surveyor will support the local authority in managing a diverse property portfolio, ensuring optimization and compliance with relevant legislation. The role includes asset management, financial oversight, property inspections, and negotiations to enhance asset value, reduce costs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support in developing asset management strategies and identifying under performing assets for improvement or disposal.
  • Oversee asset management, including lease negotiations, renewals, rent reviews, and property inspections.
  • Monitor service charge budgets, prepare accounts, and manage work orders and payments.
  • Conduct property valuations for various purposes, including rent assessments, insurance, and capital estimates.
  • Stay up to date with laws and best practices, ensuring compliance with local authority policies.
  • Maintain asset data using management software and ensure statutory compliance.
  • Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of the role.
Essential Qualifications
  • Degree in Land Management or related field.
  • Full Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
