Job Title: Senior Surveyor
Location: Eastleigh
Salary: Up to £62,000/annum DOE
The Employer: We are looking to fill the role of a Senior Surveyor within a housing environment. Our client is ambitious and has a five-year plan to create a sustainable future for social housing, building new homes and investing in existing ones to create vibrant, thriving communities.
The Role
- Carrying out property surveys to provide solutions for repairs.
- Manage and resolve challenging projects, keeping customer satisfaction to a high standard.
- Collaborate with contractors, clients, and in-house teams to maintain housing stock to the highest standards.
- Prepare schedules of work and project management support including quotations in relation to minor/major works where the technical surveying level is appropriate to specify and oversee the resulting works.
- Ensure health and safety compliance across all projects, promoting a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Provide full technical support to the legal department in respect of disrepair or legal claims received.
Candidate requirements
- Extensive domestic dwelling experience from a technical management perspective, demonstrating an understanding of the built environment.
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation pertaining to management of housing and the construction industry.
- Knowledge of project management of contracts, including developing formal specifications, contracts and technical information, and managing health and safety.
- Chartered status (MRICS).
- Degree in Building Surveying or related discipline.
- Proven experience in property surveying, asset management, or building consultancy.
- Strong knowledge of UK building regulations, construction standards, and health & safety legislation.
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office software and experience with maintenance management software.
- Full driving licence and access to own transport, or ability to travel to locations not easily accessed by public transport.
Summary
This role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis. Working 37 hours a week. An enhanced DBS needs to be already held or applied for.
