Senior Surveyor – Property Management (Edinburgh or Glasgow)

Location: Edinburgh or Glasgow

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

The Opportunity

Peace Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a leading property and asset management business as they look to appoint an experienced Senior Surveyor to join their expanding Property Management team in either Edinburgh or Glasgow.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in managing a mixed portfolio of commercial, industrial, and retail properties across Scotland’s Central Belt. The role will suit a commercially minded Surveyor with strong client relationship skills, a proactive mindset, and a passion for delivering a first-class property management service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, tenants, and contractors across a portfolio of properties
  • Manage day-to-day property management activities including rent collection, service charge management, and maintenance coordination
  • Provide professional advice to clients on lease events, rent reviews, dilapidations, and tenant obligations
  • Oversee compliance with health, safety, and fire regulations, ensuring timely action on maintenance and statutory requirements
  • Liaise with Facilities Management and Building Surveying teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality service
  • Prepare service charge budgets, monitor expenditure, and reconcile accounts
  • Conduct regular property inspections, identifying maintenance and housekeeping issues
  • Attend client and tenant meetings, providing clear updates and professional advice
  • Identify opportunities to enhance asset value and improve operational efficiency
  • Maintain accurate property records and reporting through the internal database
Person Specification
Education, Qualifications & Training
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • MRICS (Chartered) status or working towards (desirable)
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline (desirable)
Experience

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in commercial property management or a related discipline
