Job description

Full time Monday Friday 9am-5pm. Peterborough field based blended with remote and office working.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and inspire a team of surveyors, setting clear objectives and supporting their development.
  • Oversee complex building surveys, defect diagnosis and condition assessments in line with RICS standards.
  • Manage major works projects from start to finish, including tendering and contract administration.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations (HHSRS, Building Regulations, CDM).
  • Contribute to the asset management strategy and long‑term investment planning.
  • Act as the primary technical liaison for internal and external stakeholders.
Essential Requirements
  • Chartered Member of RICS (MRICS).
  • Proven experience in project management and contract administration.
  • Strong knowledge of construction technology and building regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets and deliver value for money.
  • Clean driving licence and flexibility to travel to sites.
  • Willingness to undertake DBS checks.
Desirable Requirements
  • Degree in building studies or related field.
  • Experience in the housing sector and using JCT / PPC2000 contracts.
