Job summary

Leonardo DRS in Basildon is seeking an experienced integrated supportability engineer to join the team. You will analyse design, influence reliability, maintainability, and through-life costing to meet customer requirements, contributing across disciplines and guiding next-generation Leonardo products.

Qualifications

• Experience in support design reviews and customer meetings.
• Experience in ILS on mission-critical programmes.
• Familiar with Defence Logistics Framework and Def Stan 00-600.
• Knowledge of ILS methods including analysis, software support, safety and maintenance.
• Experience applying AR&M methodologies in engineering projects.
• Strong stakeholder skills and ability to influence.
• Higher National Certificate or above in engineering/science or defence experience.
• Familiar with tools such as Windchill, Reliasoft, OPUS, Simlox, MATLAB/Simulink, Jira or Python.

Responsibilities

• Own and contribute to a range of supportability analysis tasks.

Salary: £76,000 - 94,000 per year

Requirements:

• We have experience in support design reviews and customer meetings, presenting ILS evidence and guidance and ensuring AR&M and supportability aspects are effectively communicated and addressed.
• We have experience in ILS on mission-critical programmes, with awareness of the Defence Logistics Framework and Def Stan 00-600.
• We understand ILS methods including supportability analysis, software support, safety, supply support, maintenance, and progressive assurance.
• We have experience applying AR&M methodologies within engineering projects.
• We have strong stakeholder skills and are able to influence and build trust.
• We ideally hold a Higher National Certificate or above in a relevant engineering or science discipline, or have relevant industry or defence experience.
• We are familiar with tools such as PTC Windchill Risk and Reliability, Reliasoft, OPUS, Simlox, Matlab/Simulink, Raytheon EAGLE suite, Jira, or Python, although this is not essential.
