A regional healthcare trust is seeking a Senior Healthcare Assistant to work with specialist nurses on Hepatitis C care. You will engage with patients, support testing and treatment, and contribute to high-quality healthcare delivery. Ideal candidates will have experience in healthcare and excellent communication skills. This role offers the opportunity to work in diverse settings and make a positive impact on patient care.
We are seeking to recruit an experienced, competent, and motivated Senior Healthcare Assistant to work alongside the two Hepatitis C specialist nurses. This is a rare and exciting opportunity for any healthcare professional with an interest in this field.
The successful candidate will contribute to the implementation and delivery of high-quality patient care within a professional team. Working with the 2 Clinical Nurse specialists to encourage patients/service users to engage with testing and treatment of Hepatitis C. To work with the South Yorkshire Operational Delivery Network (ODN) to deliver NHS England’s elimination plan for Hepatitis C.
You will be working in a variety of settings, which may include the 3 Doncaster prisons, homeless hostels, drug services and probation, to engage with a diverse and complex client group utilising an inclusive and non-judgemental approach.
A large proportion of this role will be screening for Hepatitis C and case finding, working alongside other agencies and community groups in order to identify any new positive patients, educate and refer onto the Specialist nurses for treatment.
