A local council in the UK is seeking a Senior Support Worker to provide outcome-based care in Horsham. This role promotes independence and engages individuals in their community. The ideal candidate should have experience in caring for adults with disabilities, possess strong communication skills, and hold NVQ qualifications. Salary: £32,597 - £35,412 (Plus an additional Over Night & Weekend Working Allowance)
Working Pattern: Split shifts on 4‑week rotation (with sleep in - as detailed below)
Contract Length: Fixed Term Contract up to 2 years.
Location: Hobbs Field, Horsham
This contract is a split shift – the hours are 2:30 pm – 10:30 pm sleeping in, followed by a 7:30 am start – 2:30 pm shift (overnight allowance payable). The shift pattern includes alternate weekends paid at an additional weekend working allowance and is on a 4‑week rota basis.
Please note this is a fixed‑term contract role for a temporary vacancy as the position is being held for a permanent employee due to a proposed closure of a service. The length of the fixed‑term contract is up to 2 years.
