A leading UK provider of adult care services is seeking a Senior Support Worker in Leeds. The role involves supervising colleagues, aiding individuals with learning disabilities, and supporting their well-being. Candidates should have previous experience in similar settings and demonstrate empathy and resilience. Carlton House is looking to recruit a Senior Support Worker to join their team. This is a full time role.
£13.40 per hour
Day Shifts: 08:00 - 20:00 (4 shifts per week) on a rota to include weekend working.
Due to a genuine occupational requirement, we are looking to recruit male workers for this particular role.
Carlton House is located in Rothwell Haigh, near to Leeds. It offers residential support for 10 male residents, including those on the autism spectrum or with a learning disability. Carlton Cottage, which is immediately adjacent, offers support for a further six people, and has an all-male staff team. Our team are dedicated to working with each individual we support on a person-centred basis to create and achieve goals to meet their own expectations.

Your positive attitude and passion for providing high quality care and support will be your key strengths, but you'll also have a friendly, patient and positive approach to work.
As a Senior Support Worker, you will assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents. You will provide support with day to day activities, whilst encouraging and promoting independent living. As part of our team, you'll help people reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support, making a positive difference to their lives.
You will have gained experience in a similar setting, supervising and leading others. While a formal qualification is not required, you should be willing to complete a Level 3 qualification in Team leadership and management with Priory.
