What does this Senior Support Worker job involve?

Hours of Work: 24 - 42 hours. Hours Per Week - Shifts: 08:00 - 14:00 / 14:00 - 20:00 / 20:00 - 08:00.

Duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Assist the Manager in running the home efficiently and caringly in their absence.
  • Ensure a handover is carried out, accounting for all residents at the start and end of each shift.
  • Help with daily medication administration.
  • Ensure staff contribute to a homely, friendly, and supportive atmosphere, leading by example.
  • Support the training and development of all staff.
  • Support residents with personal care, promoting independence, dignity, and respect.

What We're seeking:

  • Minimum 3 Years of Experience in a Care Home environment.
  • Ideally a minimum of NVQ 2 working towards NVQ Level 3 or above (Although this can be arranged).
  • Ability to support, motivate and lead staff and to be a team player.
  • Be practical and help to provide solutions to and problems or issues and to help create improved ways of working.
  • Communicate and interact effectively with both residents and staff.
  • You must like dogs, terrible singing, having fun with our residents and most of all a desire and passion to help support and improve people lives.
