Job description

Are you ready to make a real difference in someone’s life? Are you ready to take the lead and make a real difference in people’s lives? We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Support Worker to join our Dorset Outreach team, helping to oversee and deliver high-quality support across multiple locations in North Dorset. You will report into the Deputy Manager, splitting your time between hands‑on support and leadership/administrative tasks to ensure our service runs smoothly. This is a varied and rewarding role with plenty of opportunity to make an impact.

About the people you’ll be supporting

You’ll work across four different support packages, each for an individual with learning disabilities and/or autism. Each person has unique needs, preferences, and routines. Some enjoy active community days out, others prefer quieter home‑based activities. Your role will be to help them live safe, happy, and meaningful lives, whilst ensuring their care is consistent, person‑centred, and of the highest quality.

Where you’ll be working

You’ll be working across Shaftesbury, Gillingham, and Sturminster Newton, spending time in people’s homes, and out in the community. This is a full‑time role where your week will be split between providing direct support on shift and also completing leadership and administrative tasks. Travel between locations is an essential part of the job, and mileage will be paid.
