Senior Support Worker – Housing Support & Care at Home Services

Location: Glasgow

Hours: 38 per week (including evenings, weekends, sleepovers, and awaking nights as required)

Salary: £28,593 per annum

Reports to: Service Manager

About the Role

Mainstay Trust Ltd is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our Housing Support and Care at Home Services team. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and collaborate with support teams to deliver effective care
  • Supervise, mentor, and train staff
  • Conduct reviews, team meetings, and ensure compliance with care plans
  • Maintain accurate support documentation
  • Support individuals with:
    • Daily living tasks
    • Personal care and health needs
    • Budgeting and meal planning
    • Medication management
    • Emotional wellbeing and community engagement

Qualifications & Development
  • Must hold or be working towards a relevant qualification as required by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC)
  • Must hold & maintain valid SSSC registration
  • Completion of all mandatory and additional training
  • Understanding of frameworks such as The Keys to Life and Health and Social Care Standards

  • Participation in on-call duties
  • 8 hours/week allocated for administrative tasks
