At Grove Lodge and Courtyard, we’re on the lookout for an experienced Senior Support Practitioner to join our team and help make a real difference to the lives of our residents. If you’ve worked in care and have previously supported or supervised a team, this could be the perfect role for you.

About Grove Lodge And Courtyard

Our home provides specialist residential care for adults with a primary mental health diagnosis. With capacity for up to 57 residents across two floors, our service offers:

  • Comfortable lounges and modern bedrooms.
  • Main and skills kitchens to promote independence.
  • A focus on empowering residents to develop daily living skills, supporting people towards more independent futures.
What does the role involve?

As a Senior Support Practitioner, you’ll balance providing hands‑on care with supporting and supervising your team. Your primary focus will be ensuring that every resident receives exceptional, person‑centred support while helping your colleagues thrive in their roles.

Here’s a snapshot of your key responsibilities
  • Mentoring and Coaching: Supporting your team with training and guidance to ensure they excel in their roles.
  • Delivering Quality Care: Assisting residents with personal care needs, always upholding dignity, respect and privacy.
  • Care Planning: Ensuring residents’ care plans are comprehensive, up-to-date and consistently followed.
  • Medication Management: Dispensing medication accurately and maintaining detailed records.

This role requires a mix of practical care and supervisory responsibilities, so you’ll need to feel confident managing multiple tasks while keeping residents’ wellbeing at the forefront.

  • Has experience supervising and mentoring a team (preferred).
