About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Support Practitioner (SSP) to join our Support Services team based in Renfrew. This is an exciting opportunity to combine hands‑on support with leadership responsibilities, stepping into a key role that helps shape and guide support practice across teams. As an SSP, you’ll continue to make a real and positive difference in people’s lives while supporting colleagues to deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care every day.

As a Senior Support Practitioner, you will:
  • Provide personalised, high‑quality support while acting as a positive role model for others.
  • Empower and coach colleagues to deliver excellent, person‑led practice.
  • Take a lead role in service design, recruitment, and probation processes.
  • Support teams to build confidence, resilience, and meaningful community connections.
  • Work in partnership with people supported, their families, and circles of support to ensure aspirations remain at the centre of all we do.
  • Participate in the organisation’s on‑call rota, providing advice and guidance during out‑of‑hours.
We are seeking someone who demonstrates:
  • A strong commitment to person‑led, rights‑based and trauma‑informed practice.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Confidence in coaching, mentoring, and problem‑solving.
  • The ability to balance frontline support and leadership responsibilitieseffectively
  • Flexibility, resilience, and agenuinewillingness to learn and grow in the role.
