An exciting opportunity has been created as a Senior Car Parking, Portering and Security Supervisor. The position is a newly created post well matched to an enthusiastic, driven and confident individual with a Security and Customer focused background who has experience of leading by example.
The appointed person will drive change within a workforce, undertake challenging conversions directly and ensure security compliance is at the forefront of focus. The individual will work under direction but lead their team effectively unaided also.
The post holder will lead a team which covers a 24/7/365 service provision but will predominantly work Mon-Fri, some shift work may be required for Security events, training and unplanned absence within the Supervisory team but this will be on an ad-hoc basis.
Under the direction of the Facilities Manager, provide an efficient car parking and portering service and in conjunction with the Trust's Fire safety and Security manager co-ordinate activity to provide an efficient security service.
Liaising with wards, departments and service providers to ensure the most efficient portering, car parking and security service is provided, that supports their needs and priorities. Review procedures and services in order to comply with Trust Policies, Statutory Requirements and Trust Targets which reflects best practise and value.
Liaising with the Portering & Security Supervisors to ensure there is a consistent approach by the department to all tasks.
To monitor service level agreements, compliance to Policies & Procedures and performance of department, keeping adequate records to complete audit and KPI reports.
To co-ordinate, monitor, develop and train the operational portering, car parking & security team as they undertake all routine, scheduled and ad-hoc tasks on a day to day basis. To ensure staff have adequate training and systems managed, to reduce the risk of incident or breeches in security, investigate and recommend changes when incidents occur.
A team approach is required to deliver the highest level of customer service. The job requires a flexible and hands-on approach to achieve the daily routine and ad-hoc workload of the Portering, Car Parking and Security service.
