If you’re looking for a role where you can genuinely feel valued, supported, and part of a team that puts children and carers at the heart of everything they do, this could be the perfect next step.

We’re working with a not-for-profit fostering organisation known for its flexible working culture, strong wellbeing focus, and commitment to trauma-informed practice. Their entire model is centred on reinvesting into services, staff, carers and the children they support — ensuring social workers can do their best work and feel proud of the impact they make.

They’ve been recognised nationally as one of the Top 5 charities to work for in the UK, with staff consistently reporting high satisfaction, pride in their work, and a genuine sense of being cared for. As part of their South West team, you’ll join a warm, supportive group of practitioners who work collaboratively to meet the needs of carers, children and young people across the region.

The Opportunity

The team is seeking an enthusiastic Senior Supervising Social Worker to join them on a 6‑month fixed‑term basis. This is a chance to be part of a highly trauma‑informed service, experience new approaches, and make a real difference to outcomes for children — all while being supported by a passionate and experienced team.

What You’ll Bring
  • Post‑qualifying experience in fostering or wider children’s services
  • Strong understanding of fostering regulations and national minimum standards
  • Confidence supporting carers and children with warmth, professionalism and relationship‑focused practice
  • Excellent report writing, organisation and the ability to work autonomously
  • A Social Work qualification and Social Work England registration
  • Enhanced DBS (processed for you)
What’s on Offer

Alongside the values‑driven culture and flexible working approach, you’ll have access to a generous benefits package, including:

  • 31 days annual leave + bank holidays
  • Mileage at 45p per mile
  • Flexible working from day one including compressed hours
  • Extensive wellbeing programme and weekly live wellbeing activities
  • Homeworking allowance and full homeworking equipment
  • Employee Assistance Programme (including remote GP, counselling, physio and more)
  • Strong learning and development support

This is a home‑based role with monthly in‑person team meet‑ups in the Bristol area and additional travel across the region for training, meetings and carer events.

If you’re passionate about fostering and want to join an organisation that truly invests in its people and the children they care for, we’d love to hear from you.
