You’ll gain experience delivering multi‐disciplinary design projects from Front End Engineering Design (FEED) to Detailed Design.This role also offers personal development, training, and support towards chartership, with plenty of opportunity to get involved in a wide range of impactful projects.## Your role* You will be working in a senior position within one of our Electrical Engineering teams based either in Epsom, Birmingham, Leeds or Glasgow.* Building strong and trusted relationships is a key part of this role.* You'll enjoy working with others, sometimes directly at client sites, sometimes from our offices.* You'll be client focused – being able to interface with clients, understand their needs and convert opportunities into successful workstreams.* Provide Technical Leadership on the FEED and Detail Design workstream for National Grid, SSEN‐Transmission or other Transmission & Distribution clients.* Ensure adequate quality assurance and delivery of FEED, Detailed Design and bids for our clients.* Ensure adequate resources and training of resources for the purposes of delivering FEED and Detailed Design work.* Review the HV plant aspects of different projects including HV layouts, elevations, maintenance access drawings, earthing design and reports, mechanical interlocking, HV busbar calculations and technical specification for the HV plant equipment. Act as Principal Designer Representative when required.* Coordination with back‐office engineers, sub‐contractors and suppliers as required. Proven record of ability to manage tender packages as tender manager and doing HV plant aspects of technical offers.* Ability to attend and chair the Design Review and Hazard Review meetings and reviewing HV plant design packages as required.
