Job summary

NHS Highland in Nairn is seeking a Senior Drug and Alcohol Recovery Nurse (Band 6) for a fixed-term/secondment. The post is 21.6 hours per week at Nairn Town and County Hospital, focusing on recovery support for people who use substances within Drug and Alcohol Recovery Services.

The role requires an RN (Mental Health or Adult) with relevant experience, and an Independent and Supplementary Non-Medical Prescribing qualification or commitment to obtain it.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with Mental Health or Adult qualification.
• Experience in supporting people who use substances.
• Non-Medical Prescribing qualification or commitment to achieve.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan and implement evidence-based treatment programmes.
• Provide harm reduction advice and support.
• Collaborate with clients and agencies to support recovery.
