This role operates on a hybrid working arrangement that will require 1 days travel per week into our Coventry head office. This may fluctuate in line with business requirements. Our working model arrangements are a non-contractual benefit so please note that an Arden work location is added to our employment contracts.

About our Department:

We have a great opportunity for you to join our Student Finance team as a Student Finance Officer. As we grow our Student Finance team, we have an exciting opportunity for someone to join the team.

About the Role:

Reporting to the SLC Admin Manager, you will play a key role in the expanding Student Finance team by developing and improving systems and processes to meet the needs of all stakeholders. You will take the lead in providing end-to-end support for all students funded through Student Finance, across all modes of study, and will be responsible for the development, implementation, and management of processes and operations related to student funding.

About You:

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Senior Student Finance Officer with the following experience:

Essential requirements:
  • A minimum of a level 3 qualification, plus some experience in a relevant role OR Considerable work experience in a relevant role/relevant life experience reinforced by work experience.
  • Proven analytical and problem solving capability
  • Proven planning and organising skills.
  • Experience of planning and progressing a series of work within general guidelines, using initiative and judgement
  • Clear understanding of the regulations and codes of practice set for the conduct and output of the role
Desirable requirements:
  • Experience of Student Loans Company processes and procedures within a Higher Education environment.
  • Experience of SIS (Student Loans database) and timelines associated with reporting student data
