Guy Carpenter is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Structured Reinsurance Broker to lead the development and execution of complex reinsurance solutions for a diverse portfolio of multinational clients. This senior role demands a deep expertise in structured reinsurance broking, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to drive innovative, client‑centric strategies that optimise risk transfer and capital efficiency.

We will count on you to:
  • Lead the design, structuring, and negotiation of bespoke reinsurance programmes, including advanced prospective and retrospective capital relief solutions, tailored to meet sophisticated client needs.
  • Provide strategic advisory to clients on portfolio optimisation, risk management, and capital deployment, leveraging comprehensive market insights and regulatory knowledge.
  • Negotiate complex terms, pricing, and conditions with reinsurers, ensuring alignment with client objectives and market best practices.
  • Build and sustain high‑level relationships with key clients, reinsurers, and internal teams, acting as a trusted advisor and thought leader.
  • Monitor and interpret evolving market trends, regulatory developments (e.g., Solvency II), and emerging risks to proactively advise clients and influence product innovation.
  • Represent Guy Carpenter at industry forums, client meetings, and internal strategy sessions, delivering compelling presentations and proposals.
What you need to have:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, actuarial science, or a related discipline; advanced degrees or certifications preferred.
  • Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACII, CPCU, or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Extensive experience in reinsurance broking with a proven track record of involvement and leadership of complex, high‑value transactions.
  • In‑depth knowledge of reinsurance treaty types, modelling and pricing methodologies, and understanding of risk transfer mechanisms and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrable presentation skills and experience in both internal and external client environments.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, reinsurance software, and market data platforms.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach and ability to manage multiple client accounts under pressure independently and work well within a team environment.
