Novax Recruitment Group is seeking a Senior Design Engineer – Structural Steel in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. You will develop safe, efficient structural solutions from concept to detail, guiding projects through design, loadings, and fabrication considerations to ensure buildability and value.

You will collaborate with clients and project teams, applying industry software to produce practical designs that meet technical, legal and safety standards while supporting tenders and project updates.

Qualifications

• Experience in structural design environments.
• Strong calculation and analytical skills.
• Experience with steel design and connections is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop safe, efficient and practical structural engineering solutions from concept to detailed design.
• Collaborate with clients, engineers and project teams to translate drawings into structural solutions.
• Perform loadings, calculate stresses and verify compliance with standards.
• Contribute to tenders and keep stakeholders updated on progress.
• Tackle varied design challenges from simple frames to complex steel projects.
