Job summary

Skilled Careers is seeking a Managing Engineer to lead structural delivery on a high-profile West London Cut and Carve refurbishment. You will own RC frame and groundworks packages, manage temporary works, and coordinate specialist subcontractors on a tight urban site.

Applicants should have a Civil/Structural Engineering degree, chartered status desirable, and strong familiarity with Procore, BIM, and site surveying tools. A SMSTS and CSCS card are required.

Qualifications

• Experience as Senior/Managing Engineer on complex urban refurbishments (15m+ value).
• Expertise in RC frame, groundworks/substructures, heavy demolition/propping.
• Knowledge of party walls, tight-footprint logistics and monitoring systems.
• Proficiency with Procore, Field View, BIM/Navisworks and survey data review.

Responsibilities

• Technical lead for demolition, groundworks and RC frame alterations; ensure safe, compliant delivery.
• Oversee subcontractor coordination across specialist trades and QA procedures.
• Support commercial evaluations with technical input on variations and scope gaps.
• Ensure CDM compliance and effective case management of site restraints.
