GTS Group Ltd in Bristol is seeking an experienced Senior Structures Inspector to join our established infrastructure team. You will deliver inspection programmes across major structures, assess safety and compliance, and support ongoing maintenance of critical infrastructure.

You will interpret structural drawings, produce technical reports, supervise junior inspectors, and liaise with clients and contractors to ensure timely delivery and continuous improvement.

Qualifikationen

• Proven experience in structural inspections, ideally bridges or major infrastructure.
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings.
• Strong understanding of inspection techniques and relevant standards.
• Knowledge of steel, metallurgy, concrete and other structural materials.
• Experience producing technical inspection reports.
• Capable of supervising junior staff and working independently.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Full UK driving licence.

Aufgaben

• Carry out General, Principal, Special and Monitoring inspections of structures.
• Deliver annual inspection programmes in line with technical standards, budgets and deadlines.
• Conduct site surveys and basic non-destructive testing.
• Prepare and review inspection, assessment and technical reports.
• Interpret structural drawings and identify defects or areas of concern.
• Supervise, mentor and support junior inspectors and apprentices.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and internal teams.
• Support future inspection planning and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
• Work across three different structures as required.

What We're Looking For

Desirable Qualifications:

• HNC/HND in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering.
• Bridge Inspection Certification Scheme (BICS).
• CSWIP 3.0 or 3.1 Welding Inspection certification.
• PCN Level 2 Magnetic Particle Inspection.
• IPAF 1b Static Boom certification.

Additional training and support can be provided for candidates who do not currently hold all desirable certifications.
