Job summary

Morgan Hunt is recruiting a Senior Structural Engineer for their Glasgow team. You will lead the design and delivery of complex building structures from concept through construction, spanning high rise residential projects to extensions.

The role offers exposure to conservation projects and a collaborative, growth-focused environment. You will mentor junior engineers, review calculations, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams while maintaining high standards of quality and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer MIStructE/MICE or working towards Chartership.
• Proven track record delivering building structures projects independently.
• Broad technical expertise across different structural materials.
• Proficient with industry-standard structural analysis and modelling software.
• Excellent communication, client-facing and relationship-building skills.
• Commercially aware with strong project management capabilities.
• Chartership support and professional development opportunities.
• Interest in mentoring and leading teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design and analysis across diverse projects and sectors.
• Manage projects from inception to completion within time and budget.
• Serve as main technical contact for clients, architects, contractors and stakeholders.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and allocating resources effectively.
• Conduct site inspections and participate in design meetings.
• Review and approve designs, calculations and technical reports.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and graduates.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, standards and quality procedures.
• Support business development and client relationships.
