Strategic Performance Manager – Life Sciences

Albion Rye Associates are proud to be representing our global Life Science client exclusively in the search for a Senior Strategic Performance Manager.

We’re looking for a strategic, data-driven professional to work alongside senior leadership to enhance organisational performance across research, operations, and corporate functions.

This pivotal role will align performance frameworks, reporting mechanisms, and strategic insights to drive delivery of the organisation’s scientific and commercial priorities.

🔍 Key Responsibilities
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
  • Lead the design and implementation of performance monitoring frameworks and reporting systems across R&D, operations, and corporate services.
  • Present key performance metrics to senior stakeholders and ensure visibility of progress against objectives.
  • Maintain coherence and consistency in reporting across scientific, advisory, and operational teams.
  • Partner with functions such as risk, finance, data, IT, and programme management to deliver accurate and actionable insights.
  • Support delivery of high-quality dashboards and external reporting, including regulatory and ESG-related disclosures.
Strategic Insights & Decision Support
  • Translate data into actionable insights that inform strategic decisions.
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify trends, risks, and opportunities in research productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Support scenario modelling, forecasting, and investment appraisals.
  • Deliver cost-benefit and value-for-money analyses to guide resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with data science and digital teams to enhance analytics infrastructure.
  • Work with HR, operations, and strategy teams to embed evidence-based decision-making practices.
Continuous Performance Improvement
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness improvements.
  • Develop and deliver improvement programmes across research and enabling functions.
  • Partner with programme management to track progress and align with organisational goals.
Strategic Advisory & Analytics
  • Act as a trusted advisor by providing robust analytical support and recommendations.
  • Deliver economic and market insights to assess the impact of external developments.
  • Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Build internal capability through tools, frameworks, and training to enhance data literacy.
