Cummins Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Global Centre of Accounting in Darlington, UK. The role focuses on statutory accounting, reporting across multiple jurisdictions and driving process standardisation.

You will lead cross‑functional teams, provide technical accounting guidance, and support internal controls and regulatory compliance in a complex international environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with statutory accounting and financial reporting across multiple jurisdictions.
• Knowledge of UK-to-US GAAP conversions or adjustments.
• Strong internal controls and regulatory compliance capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across global teams.
• Continuous improvement mindset with process standardisation and automation.
• Big 4 audit experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting activities for corporate holding companies and ensure accurate reporting.
• Drive standardisation and optimisation of accounting processes globally.
• Lead statutory reporting across multiple countries and ensure timely regulatory filings.
• Provide technical accounting guidance on complex reporting and compliance.
• Strengthen control environments and identify risk mitigation opportunities.
• Collaborate with auditors, tax, legal and service providers to deliver outcomes.
