If the answer is yes, then come and join our supportive and friendly team on Gray ward. We are looking for band 6 senior staff nurses who appreciate the challenge and reward of working in a fast-paced environment where we provide life‑saving care.

You will be part of the team that looks after patients from arrival in A&E through to discharge, including complex nursing needs such as early deterioration detection, specialist drain and stoma care, complex pain and wound management, and parenteral nutrition.

Responsibilities
  • Take on the ‘Nurse in Charge’ role and deputise for the ward manager in their absence.
  • Coordinate patients and staff daily, ensuring high standards of care are maintained.
  • Lead your own team of staff, perform 1:1s and appraisals, and support roster management.
  • Conduct quality audit, incident investigation and other duties as assigned to improve patient care.
  • Provide cover for other wards as required and support junior staff through role modelling, mentoring and encouragement.
