Join our supportive and friendly team on Gray ward as a band 6 senior staff nurse and work in a fast‑paced environment that delivers life‑saving care.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate the care of patients from A&E through to discharge, including complex short and long stay patients.
  • Act as Nurse in Charge and deputise for the ward manager when absent.
  • Perform roster management, quality audit, incident investigation and maintain high standards of care.
  • Support junior staff through role modelling, encouraging and 1:1 appraisals.
  • Assist with cover for other wards and manage complex nutritional, stoma, drain and wound needs.
Qualifications
  • Band 6 senior staff nurse with a minimum of 2 years experience in an acute surgical setting.
  • Experience and interest in general surgery, upper GI, colorectal, bariatric and complex nursing care are encouraged.
  • Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
