Job description

Senior Staff Nurse – Band 6

We now have a permanent position for a Senior Staff Nurse (band 6) to provide day‑to‑day leadership of this busy 24‑bedded cardiology ward.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and deputise for the Ward Sister to ensure the provision of excellent nursing care and the effective management of staff and other resources.
• Co‑ordinate the day‑to‑day management of the ward/department and ensure excellent communication is maintained.
• Ensure that there are education and training opportunities for all staff, including pre‑ and post‑registration students, and provide specialist knowledge where a post‑registration course is essential.
