Job summary

Elysium Healthcare Limited is hiring an experienced Mental Health Nurse or Learning Disabilities Nurse for The Farndon Unit in Newark, Nottinghamshire. You’ll provide compassionate care to women with complex needs within a multidisciplinary team.

You will be registered with the NMC, hold a relevant nursing qualification, and demonstrate a patient-centered approach, flexibility, and a commitment to evidence-based practice. A supportive environment with wellbeing initiatives is provided.

What you will be doing:

• As a qualified Mental Health Nurse or Learning Disabilities Nurse (RMN or RNLD), you will provide support for women with complex care needs, while also supporting your colleagues and promoting positive teamwork.
• Providing high-quality, effective and compassionate nursing care to service users
• Being responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care
• Providing mentorship and support to team members
• Observing, recording and reporting all service user changes, and maintaining accurate records of care provided
• A relevant nursing qualification
• NMC registration

Location: The Farndon Unit, Farndon Road, Newark, Nottinghamshire, NG24 4SW

You will be working at the Farndon Unit, a purpose-built low secure hospital that offers personalised assessment and recovery-based treatment pathways, including a trauma-specific pathway, for women with complex care needs.

You will join the multidisciplinary team in providing specialist care for people with a diagnosis of severe and enduring mental illness and/or personality disorder and/or mild learning disability.

The combination of general low secure wards and a recovery ward area (also within the low secure perimeter) provide a seamless internal care pathway supporting and empowering recovery and rehabilitation.
