Job summary

Capgemini UK is seeking a Senior SQL Server Database Administrator to manage mission-critical SQL Server estates across development, test, and production. You will ensure security, high availability, and performance while collaborating with development, infrastructure and production teams.

Lead troubleshooting, implement automation, and mentor junior team members. This role requires SC clearance and hybrid working across client sites, Capgemini offices, and home.

Qualifications

• Proven MS SQL Server administration experience across development to production environments.
• Experience with monitoring, performance tuning, and optimisation using SQL Server tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage SQL Server databases across development to production environments, ensuring standards and configuration are consistent.
• Configure and maintain DB servers, monitor health, performance, security and availability.
• Lead real-time issue diagnosis and resolution with cross-team collaboration.
• Automate regular maintenance tasks and optimise database processes.
• Support Power BI environments including data source configuration and gateway management.
• Mentor junior DBAs and developers, sharing best practices.
