Job summary

An established conference and media business is seeking a Senior Sponsorship Sales Manager to lead sales efforts across defence and pharmaceutical conferences. The role offers a base salary of up to £55k plus commission, with a focus on engaging clients in a fast-paced sales environment. Ideal candidates have over 5 years of sponsorship sales experience, proven revenue growth, and must be highly motivated to meet targets.

The Company

An established conference and media business with a particularly strong foothold within the defence and pharmaceutical sectors.

There are around 50 people in the company and have just had their most profitable year ever.....so a great time to join. They are based in Central London and work in the offices 3 days a week (2 from home).

The role of Senior Sponsorship Sales Manager

Our client is looking for a Senior Sponsorship Sales Manager to sell across a portfolio of defence and p harmaceutical conferences.

You will be responsible for selling the usual combination of speaking opportunities, branding and marketing opportunities and exhibition space. You will take ownership of a £1.5m portfolio and the role will be a combination of both new and repeat business.

They have a fast-paced and entrepreneurial sales environment and their sales staff are big believers in talking to and/or meeting clients, rather than trying to sell via email.

Requirements for these Senior Sponsorship Sales Manager positions
  • Solid conference sponsorship sales experience (5+ years)
  • Experience of selling across a portfolio of conferences each year (ideally 5+)
  • Evidence of growing revenues and winning new business
  • High personal annual billings - £600k+ ideally
  • Solid sales process (SPIN or similar)
  • Someone confident but not egotistic
  • Articulate, confident and hard working
  • Money-motivated - someone always focused on hitting their target
  • Stable career history
