Job summary

Cisco seeks a senior security consultant within its Professional Services team to provide technical leadership in Splunk SIEM/SOAR, guide multi-functional projects, and deliver tailored security architectures across regional and global customers.

You will leverage AI-driven operations, automate incident response, mentor teams on PDIO methodologies, and drive customer outcomes while aligning with product and service improvements.

Qualifications

• University degree plus equivalent experience (minimum 6-8 years).
• Expert-level certification in Splunk (e.g., Splunk Certified Architect, Splunk Certified Consultant) or equivalent security certification.
• Proven experience leading sophisticated, multi-functional consulting or engineering projects within the security space.
• Deep technical expertise in the Splunk platform and ability to drive security adoption and customer outcomes.
• Advanced skills in automation, SOAR orchestration, and AI-driven security operations.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop talent across technical consulting teams.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills for industry events.

Responsibilities

• Technical leadership within the Splunk security domain, with deep expertise in SIEM, SOAR, and Observability integrations.
• Lead sophisticated, multi-functional security projects and advise CISO/IT leadership.
• Oversee planning, design, and implementation of tailored Splunk security architectures.
• Apply AI and automation to optimize security operations and incident response.
• Develop and maintain high-value customer relationships with technical alignment to security objectives.
• Define and implement documentation standards for security deployments.
• Create advanced simulation environments and provide expert support for platform challenges.
• Mentor team on Plan, Design, Implement, and Optimize (PDIO) methodologies.
• Synthesize customer feedback to influence Splunk product and service improvements.
• Collaborate with Product Management to align security trends with service offers.
