Job summary

Cygnet's The Daley Care Centre in Sheffield is seeking a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join a neuro-rehabilitation team on a full-time basis.

You will lead on SLT input for complex neurological cases, assess communication and swallowing, support staff development, and contribute to safe, person-centred care. This role offers excellent supervision, CPD opportunities, and a strong MDT culture.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration is required.
• Experience with acquired brain injury and neurocomplex care.
• Competency to independently assess and manage eating, drinking and swallowing (EDS).
• Strong team player with good communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess speech, language and cognitive communication needs of a complex caseload.
• Lead SLT input for neurological complex care within the MDT.
• Contribute to development of person-centred care pathways and staff training.
• Provide specialist advice and support to improve communication and swallowing outcomes.
