Senior Speech and Language Therapist – £46,000 - £53,000 salary – Thatcham, West Berkshire – 37.5 hours Permanent Position, Flexible hours – Will consider part time hours

I\'m currently supporting a charity based in Berkshire providing education and residential care for autistic young people with complex needs who are looking for a Experienced Senior Speech and Language Therapist to join the team.

The school provides exceptional therapeutic support and pastoral care, creating a profoundly positive impact on every pupil. Classrooms are calm, focused, and highly conducive to learning, with minimal disruptions thanks to dedicated staff and specialist therapeutic and nursing teams who ensure an optimal sensory, physical, and communication environment.

What you will do
  • To line manage the team of Speech and Language Therapists
  • Contribute and/or lead in the planning and delivering of training to develop the knowledge and skills of others in the areas of autism and communication
  • Manage a caseload of autistic young people with complex needs
  • Deliver assessments, therapy input, and regular reviews
  • Implement the Prior\'s Court Communication Skills Programme to build functional communication
  • Use clinical reasoning to identify individual communication strengths and needs
  • Provide evidence-based interventions in expression, understanding, social communication, and AAC
  • Contribute to EHCP reviews through reports and progress updates
