Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Liverpool FC team as a Senior Specialist, Video Editor.

This role involves working within a team to produce a wide range of content for LFCTV, ALL RED, and digital platforms, using Adobe Creative Suite across iMac and PC, with a flexible schedule based on fixtures, hybrid working, and occasional travel, reporting to the Video Editor Manager and collaborating closely with producers.

What will you be doing?
  • Work and integrate different programs within the Adobe Creative Suite to create engaging content.
  • Edit TV content throughout the week, including long format shows, VTs, SVOs and matchday edits.
  • Repackage certain edits to be used across our wider digital and social outputs.
  • Work closely across the department with different teams to make sure content is effectively created and available for editing.
  • Understand and utilise the internal MAM system to access the pool of archive footage available to use within daily edits.
Who are we looking for?

To excel in this role, you’ll bring advanced expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Media Encoder, along with strong proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and Audition. You’ll have a solid grasp of modern production techniques, multi-camera editing, and workflows, as well as experience with MAM systems and server-based environments. A thorough understanding of both MacOS and Windows platforms, combined with knowledge of video formats, codecs, wrappers, and web standards, is essential.

You’ll hold a formal qualification in broadcast or media-related technologies (HND or higher) and demonstrate excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. The role demands someone who can manage multiple tasks, adapt quickly to changing production needs, and perform under pressure in a live broadcast setting. Flexibility to work varied schedules, including unsociable hours, is important, as is the ability to work independently while following direction from producers and production managers.

We’re looking for a resourceful, proactive individual with strong problem‑solving skills and experience in media conversion. A genuine interest in football, ideally with in‑depth knowledge of Liverpool FC is highly desirable. A positive, can‑do attitude and a clear understanding of legal requirements for broadcast video and audio signal levels are essential for success in this role.

Why should you apply?

This is a full‑time permanent role working 35 hours per week. The role follows the football fixture schedule and requires working five days out of seven, with varying hours throughout the week. It is a hybrid position, combining office and home working, and may also involve time at the training complex or occasional travel for away fixtures.

Your main base will be our Chapel Street office in Liverpool.

Please note, this vacancy may close early if we receive a high volume of applications, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.

Benefits

To reward your hard work and commitment we offer a competitive salary, 25 days holiday (plus 8 bank holidays and the option to purchase up to an additional 5 days) and access to our benefits kit bag which includes but not limited to:

  • Contributory pension scheme matching up to 5.5%
