Job summary

A leading NHS Trust in the UK is seeking a Senior Paediatric Dietitian to join their Cystic Fibrosis service. This role involves providing specialized dietary advice, working within a mixed team environment, and supporting research initiatives. The ideal candidate should have HCPC registration and significant experience in paediatrics and nutrition. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary ranging from £56,276 to £63,176 annually.

Job description

This senior paediatric post will cover our well-established Cystic Fibrosis service which has excellent outcomes. You will work as an integral member of the CF/respiratory team. In addition you will support the other paediatric caseloads as required in supporting the wider team and help to line manage the general dietitians. You will join a supportive team including a 0.4 WTE band 4, 1 WTE band 7 Gastro/Respiratory/PCCU Dietitian and 2 WTE band 6 and 1 WTE band 5 Dietitian. You will ideally have good clinical dietetic experience including acute paediatric experience. Experience working within a respiratory or CF team is highly desirable. You must have excellent communication skills and enjoy working within a dynamic multidisciplinary environment. You will join a friendly department of 31 paediatric dietitians, across three acute sites. We have a well-established programme of quality improvement and research, and fully encourage CPD. Main duties of the job

To work within the multidisciplinary team, to provide highly specialized dietetic advice to children and young people with Cystic Fibrosis.

To undertake inpatient work and outpatient clinics in these areas.

The post holder would undertake research and audit on a regular basis to ensure that practice is evidence based.

  • Experience of Supervision of junior members of clinical staff.
