A leading healthcare institution in the UK is seeking a motivated Dietitian for its bariatric service. Candidates should possess previous bariatric experience and demonstrate strong communication and leadership abilities. This role involves outpatient duties supporting patients in advanced obesity management, with collaboration alongside a multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will be adaptable and enthusiastic, contributing to a well-supported environment focused on patient care and team development.
You are a member of the UHD Dietetics Department, which consists of 25+ dietitians working across Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch Hospitals within a variety of specialties that include Diabetes, Paediatrics and Oncology. The role will involve training of more junior staff and student dietitians.
Provide support to the surgical bariatric service on a fixed term contract covering a secondment. Oversee main outpatient duties with a mix of clinics and group work to support patients through tier 4 complex obesity services. The role is well supported by the bariatric surgery team, including exceptional leadership from the Advanced Clinical Practitioner in Bariatric Surgery who is a Specialist Dietitian.
Previous bariatric experience is necessary. Candidates should be motivated and enthusiastic, with excellent communication and leadership skills and the ability to work well as part of a well established multidisciplinary team.
