Job summary

NHS Scotland's Tayside Nutrition and Dietetic Service is seeking a Dietitian to join the specialist diabetes team providing secondary care for people with diabetes in Tayside. You will work with a multidisciplinary team and contribute to clinical care, service improvement and pathway development, with a focus on type 1 diabetes requiring insulin therapy and hybrid closed loop systems.

The Nutrition and Dietetic Service in Tayside are seeking to recruit a dietitian to work within our specialist diabetes team.

The postholder will work as a member of the specialist Tayside Dietetic Diabetes Team and will provide a clinical service in secondary care for people in Tayside living with diabetes. The post holder will be expected to work closely with the multi-disciplinary diabetes team taking a pro-active approach in the clinical care of patients, service improvement and pathway development. The primary clinical focus of the post will be on patients with type 1 diabetes requiring insulin therapy including hybrid closed loop systems.

Excellent interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to demonstrate good team working, leadership, time management as well as being able to work autonomously are essential. The post holder should have significant experience of working in a diabetes team as specialist dietitian, including experience of working with a complex case load and hybrid closed loop systems
