A leading healthcare provider in the UK seeks two Band 7 Diabetes Dietitians to join its team at Newham Hospital. Candidates will provide tailored dietary advice and structured education for diabetes management and must have experience in managing diabetes in a clinical setting. Applicants should possess excellent communication skills and be ready to work flexibly as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Band 7 Diabetes Dietitian posts to join the Dietetic Team at Newham Hospital, Barts Health NHS Trust. We have 1.0 wte substantive post and another 1.0 wte fixed term contract to cover maternity leave to be filled. We are seeking two enthusiastic and motivated Dietitians with existing experience and skills in the field of diabetes to deliver a high quality dietetic service to patients with diabetes. The caseload is varied and involves supporting adult patients with type 1 and young adult patients with diabetes in acute setting as well as outpatient setting. We are looking for two active team players with excellent communication skills, to work alongside the existing dietitians and the award winning Newham Hospital Diabetes Team.
As a team of 15 dietitians covering different specialties, we are committed to work based education and training to improve clinical skills and we actively encourage CPD and research. There is an excellent support structure within the dietetics team and the diabetes team with a well-established clinical governance programme.
The post holder would need to demonstrate good leadership qualities and the ability to show initiative in leading projects. We are looking for Individuals that are flexible and have excellent communication skills.

To work as a member of the diabetes dietetic team, providing a service to people with diabetes at Newham Hospital.
To provide individually tailored advice to adults with type 1 and young adults with diabetes in acute setting as well as outpatient setting in Newham Hospital.
To deliver structured education for adults with type 1 (DAFNE) in person and remotely.
To provide a highly specialised service and support complex patients, their families and carers in both acute and outpatient setting.
To deliver the dietetic service provision for diabetes.
To provide leadership and supervision to junior staff on a day to day basis, as required.
To ensure that research and audit is undertaken on a regular basis to ensure that practice is evidence based
